Prohibited articles which are not allowed to carry into security restricted areas and on board an aircraft (not allowed in checked baggage and carry-on baggage):

I. List of prohibited articles in your cabin baggage

1. Guns, firearms and other devices that discharge projectiles (devices capable, or appearing capable, of being used to cause serious injury by discharging a projectile), including:

a) Firearms of all types, such as pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns,

b) Component parts of firearms, excluding telescopic sights,

c) Compressed air and CO2 guns, such as pistols, pellet guns, rifles and ball bearing

guns,

d) Signal flare pistols and starter pistols,

e) Harpoon guns and spear guns,

f) Slingshots and catapults;

g) Gun laser transmitters or lasers

h) Toy guns, replicas and imitation firearms capable of being mistaken for real

weapons,

i) The daggers, swords, spears, bayonets, knives, machetes, fruit punch, fruit mace, bow, crossbows.

2. Stunning devices (devices designed specifically to stun or immobilise), including:

a) Devices for shocking, such as stun guns, tasers and stun batons

b) Animal stunners and animal killers,

c) Disabling and incapacitating chemicals, gases and sprays, such as mace, pepper sprays, capsicum sprays, tear gas, acid sprays and animal repellent sprays;

3. Objects with a sharp point or sharp edge (objects with a sharp point or sharp edge capable of being used to cause serious injury), including:

a) Items designed for chopping, such as axes, hatchets and cleavers

b) Ice axes and ice picks,

c) Razor blades, box cutters,

d) Knives with blades of more than 6 cm

e) Scissors with blades of more than 6 cm as measured from the fulcrum,

f) Martial arts equipment with a sharp point or sharp edge,

4. Workmen’s tools (tools capable of being used either to cause serious injury or to threaten the safety of aircraft), including:

a) Crowbars,

b) Drills and drill bits, including cordless portable power drills,

c) Tools with a blade or a shaft of more than 6 cm capable of use as a weapon, suc as screwdrivers and chisels,

d) Saws, including cordless portable power saws,

e) Blowtorches,

f) Bolt guns and nail guns;

5. Blunt instruments (objects capable of being used to cause serious injury when used

to hit), including:

a) Baseball and softball bats,

b) Clubs and batons, such as billy clubs, blackjacks and night sticks,

c) Martial arts equipment;

d) Brackets camera, sticks, umbrellas with metal sharp pointed end of a length of 30 cm or more.

6. Explosives and incendiary substances and devices (explosives and incendiary substances and devices capable, or appearing capable, of being used to cause serious injury or to pose a threat to the safety of aircraft), including:

a) Ammunition,

b) Blasting caps,detonators and fuses,

c) Replica or imitation explosive devices,

d) Mines, grenades and other explosive military stores,

e) Fireworks and other pyrotechnics,

f) Smoke-generating canisters and smoke-generating cartridges,

g) Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.

h) Petrol, oil and fuel tanks for loading lighters, matches, “Strike anywhere” matches, devices containing liquid oxygen

i) Alcohol drink, with more than 70% of alcohol

II. List of prohibited articles in your checked baggage:

1. Ammunition, except with the approval of the operator(s) as checked baggage under specific conditions defined in Section 8, Chapter 1, Section 1.1.2 of the ICAO Technical Instructions for transport dangerous goods (Doc 9284).

2. Blasting caps,

3. Detonators and fuses,

4. Mines, grenades and other explosive military stores,

5. Fireworks and other pyrotechnics,

6. Smoke-generating canisters and smoke-generating cartridges,

7. Dynamite, gunpowder and plastic explosives.

8. Petrol, oil and fuel tanks for loading lighters, matches, “Strike anywhere” matches, devices containing liquid oxygen

9. Alcohol drink, with more than 70% of alcohol
